This policy explains what NameSnag collects, why we collect it, and the providers we use to operate domain monitoring, name generation, billing, email, analytics, and reliability systems.

Information we collect

We collect the information needed to run NameSnag and keep domain alerts working.

  • Google account details used for sign-in, such as your email address, name, and profile image when Google provides them.
  • Domains you watch, name-generation prompts, generated results, selected TLDs, availability results, timestamps, and account limits.
  • Billing status, plan details, and payment identifiers from Polar. NameSnag does not store raw card numbers.
  • Operational logs, device and browser metadata, usage events, and analytics from services we use to monitor reliability and product usage.

How we use information

  • Create and secure your account.
  • Monitor watched domains and send availability alerts.
  • Generate domain ideas, check availability, and remember account limits.
  • Process subscriptions, support requests, abuse prevention, debugging, and service reliability work.
  • Understand aggregate product usage so we can improve NameSnag.

Service providers

We share information with providers that help us operate the service, including Google for authentication, Resend for email, Polar for billing, DigitalOcean for hosting and databases, Inngest for background jobs, New Relic for logs and monitoring, and analytics providers such as Umami and Google Analytics.

We do not sell personal information

We do not sell personal information or operate NameSnag as a data broker. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect the service, or as part of a business transfer.

Retention

We keep account, watch, search, billing, and operational records while your account is active and as needed for security, legal, accounting, debugging, and service operations. We may keep aggregated or de-identified information after account deletion.

Your choices

You can stop watching domains in the product, unsubscribe from alerts where available, or contact us to request account or data deletion. Some records may be retained when needed for legal, billing, security, or abuse-prevention reasons.
